Besides working at McDonalds or getting a receptionist job, what can you do with a Political Science degree?

Please do not tell me the other answer "professional message board member." If I want a career with Political Science as a standalone degree what jobs that pay well can I look into?Besides working at McDonalds or getting a receptionist job, what can you do with a Political Science degree?
If you can also lie, you used to be able to get a job at MSNBC. But MSNBC has now been purchased by Comcast and they promised some sweeping changes in management and on air personnel to clean up the image of the news department. Although they have not announced what those changes will be yet.



On the other hand a Political Science degree is a good perquisite to a law degree.

Generally that degree either leads to law school (how are your GPA and the LSAT practice exams?) or a Ph.d. (remember, for humanities, the market is tough, not saying it's impossible to get a tenure-track position, but you could wind up adjuncting without benefits (isn't it funny how the land of opportunity connects health insurance to employment, thus limiting the ability of people with pre-existing conditions to work a loose schedule, freelance, work a part-time job, work two part-time jobs, work a job they are qualified to but doesn't have health insurance? Sorry, I digress) for many, many years and then finding yourself way past the ideal age to get on the tenure track. So, consider law school or a minor in something very marketable, e.g., finance, marketing, accounting, business administration, hotel management, teaching certification, Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, graphic design,
I thought about doing just a Poli Sci degree at first as well and then found out that the only jobs a Poli Sci degree can get you are in the bureaucracy.
