Now if I said that McDonalds is like Life, finishing for the day is like Death, doing my work is like having an education/career and having a laugh is my emotional/spiritual side, does it seem that the emphasis on our careers is folly?
I think this is what Plato was getting at when he wrote the "timaeus and critias".Do you think this is a good analogy?
The fact that you know about timaeus and critias I give you kudo points. I think thats a great analogy...in retrospect you may have changed the way i look at people who work at Mcdonalds.
My phiosophy for life is to never take anything for granted because it can be gone as quickly as it came.Do you think this is a good analogy?
If life was like McDonald's, I'd rather be dead.Do you think this is a good analogy?
I am having a little trouble equating Plato's words with a job at McDonald's, but I commend you for having an intellectual approach to your job. I think you will go far in life, and I do know one thing, the camaraderie among workers is one of the most important qualities to any job. You can tolerate almost any stress in the workplace, if it is accompanied by a few laughs with co-workers. Now, I'll take a Big Mac with fries.Do you think this is a good analogy?
Hi,
No, when I think about it I don't think it's a very good analogy and the reason why is: if you see McDonalds as life and finishing for the day as death then you see no life beyond McDonalds. It is good that you enjoy your work but McDonalds should be only one piece of the jigsaw that makes up your life. Alongside those pieces that make up your emotional/spiritual/education/profession鈥?development.
