What personal qualities do people with successful careers have?

People like Ceo's, lawyers, doctors or even a nurse or secretary with a master's degree. What inside seperates them from someone sitting around lazy collecting welfare or working at mcdonald's when they ar 35 yrs old. If it's extremely high self esteem what did these people wake up and say to themselves everyday? What personal qualities do people with successful careers have?
it's not about extreemly high self esteem. it's a lot of factors. it's upbringing and personality development. were they leaders in team sports or group activities when young?

education always helps, and that comes from parents and their character too.

now, there are some natural gifts that help. I heard of a study where taller men have been more successful than shorter. Also, in my opinion - there's a general "business look" that I see with many executive officers, the side part hair, glasses - very masculine look like Pierce Brosnan.

For women it's a little different. professional and straight up. they'll stare you right in the eye...

So, there's a lot that separates them, and it starts in their teenage years and takes years to develope.
