He seems adamant on the Johnson, Siddle, Hilfy, Hauritz, McDonald attack.



Is he trying too hard to prove that he can captain a young side?



This attack has little experience and therefore control.

Bowling attack should be: Lee, Johson, Hilfenhaus and Hauritz, Is Watson fit enough to bowl?

This is the most inexperienced bowling attack since the first test in 1877...

We need to take 20 wickets and we should do this by picking a team that has the best chance of dong this. So I would make this the team:

Katich, Watson, Ponting, North, Clarke, MacDonald, Haddin, Johnson, Lee, Clark %26amp; Hilfenhaus. This gives us 6 pace bowlers with different style, 3 part time spinners who can get the job done, and a team that while precarious can bat down to 9. This would take the pressure off Johnson and Lee. Use Clark and Hilly to open then Johnson and use Lee for reverse swing and MacDonald to tie down an end, which he did in SA and in the tour games where he took 4/15 and scored as many runs as the out-of-form Hussey.
Surely who is in the team is the selectors' final say and not Ponting's?



If it is Ponting's final say, then why even have selectors?
