Is becoming a manager at mcdonalds a great career ? Is the pay, worth the stress ?

I am in training to become a manager at an local mcdonalds. And I want to know if this would be a good move for me.Is becoming a manager at mcdonalds a great career ? Is the pay, worth the stress ?
Does the word dead end job have an meaning to you. I myself worked for McDonald's for many years growing up and i managed a store for over 2 years and it was a lot of stress, having to be responsible for a bunch of other kids that don't really want to be there and if anything hit the fan you take the blame for it. If your just starting out i would say it is good for your future, but making a long time commitment i would say no. The g.m's is where the big money is, but it take years to get to be the g.m of a store, and even then your not making top dollar. Stay in school and make something out of yourself. Is becoming a manager at mcdonalds a great career ? Is the pay, worth the stress ?
Try it. After you quit it just may be 6 years before you can even stand the smell of bubbling grease on a hot windless day.
i'd say shoot for higher goalsIs becoming a manager at mcdonalds a great career ? Is the pay, worth the stress ?
Any job that shows responsibility is a good start. However, you didn't tell enough about yourself to give a good answer. For example, how old are you? What are your goals and ambitions? What skills /training / education do you have or want to get? The answer to your question depend on these things.
there is stress with any job where you have to deal with the public, i dont know what managers make at mcid's but if you need the job and thats what is available then if it was me i would do itIs becoming a manager at mcdonalds a great career ? Is the pay, worth the stress ?
One word: Starbucks

I've heard they have a pretty good management program, good pay and benefits. Might check 'em out. I doubt McDonald's could compare.
your best move would be to get the hell out of there while you still can. if you think this is a career for you then you're slowly slipping down the road to disaster. pay ranges from around 35-40k for managers and NO it's not worth the stress and crap you'll have to put up with.
iyes for about 5 yrs but think long and hard if you want to make a career outta this top pay at mickey d"s is prolly 40 000 a yr that means about 32 take home pay but the skills are transferable to other jobs similar to that one
yes it is....if thats what your cards delt you, thats what it is.....whats really stressful is waiting in the unemployment line....or better yet the welfare line.......good luck, and kick butt............
It depends on you. Personally, I couldn't handle managing a place with that high of a turn-over rate with thier employees.
nope
well my manager has worked at mcdonalds since she was 16...so i think you have to love the job if u wanna become manager
