I'm going to say it and you're going to hate me for it...

...ready?

Ok...here goes.

"Work at McDonald's." But wait...before you give me the thumbs down and ignore my answer completely, hear me out on this.

When you turn 16 or 15 or whatever age your job opportunities start to open up, that is the time to really start to try different jobs. Some of them you'll take, hating it, because it's convenient and works around your school schedule and gives you a little extra money (like working at McDonald's). Other jobs might come your way that you love.

The idea now is to go ahead and take the crappy jobs when you can just to fill in for the time when you look for a job you can enjoy. Don't just ditch your crappy employer when the time comes...give them the proper 2 week notice and your new job will understand then high tail it out of there vowing never to return to the world of fast food jobs again.

You'll see that your job skills will start to shine through and what you enjoy from jobs will begin to really come out as well. There's no real way to know what job you want to do until you start to try different things and see how it goes. It's great that you have ideas already and your mind SHOULD change as time goes on. Right now is a great time to start to think about these things and think about how different things you're learning will help in these fields you're interested in. But throughout high school and college, you'll start to try out jobs and see which ones really appeal to you and which ones you simply can't put up with the bullcrap. (There's a lot of that in ANY job).

So don't plan on anything for certain quite yet. You still have time. Plan on making the choice to try out new things so you're not stuck in a position you don't want for the rest of your life. That's the direction you should take this. Please read details!?
Chill out! You're only thirteen for heaven's sake. Go out and enjoy yourself; you've got the rest of your life to worry about your career. Please read details!?
lol you are 13! dont start fretting about mapping your whole career out just yet! i wanted to be lots of things also at your age, as you get older your opinions change well my did anyway!

but in a few years time... make sure you are careful with your college and university courses, you dont want to be stuck with qualifications that are no use after spending all that money...!Please read details!?
When you are 13 you have to make desisions like what kind of life you want in order to choose your year 9 options.

I think you should consider which one you enjoy more, what it involves in year 10 %26amp; 11/sixth form/collage/uni, and what makes the most money. i'm not an expert as I'm going though the same thing.

Just relax you have time to decide, think carefully make sure it is what you want to do.

Good luck
