Any position where you can make enough to survive, and have vacation time and medical benefits, should be fine. However, I've worked as a temp (with very flexible hours) during years when my children were young, and when my husband was ill. I've also worked delivering as a private contractor during times where I had other business to attend to (also very flexible--I could go home if I needed to).
The 24/7 careers you speak of are the ones I speak against--for parents of young children--particularly when both parents are working all those hours. The children know their sitters and daycare workers better than their own family. Even when the children are older, they need someone at home more than just to sleep. I feel that the teen disrespect/drug/alchohol/gang, etc. thing is due to hardly having anyone at home--and no one home at friends homes either--just lack of supervision everywhere. Why are we so obsessed with having a career? Why can't we just have a job instead?
Jeez i don,t even want a job nevermind a careerWhy are we so obsessed with having a career? Why can't we just have a job instead?
You lack motivation and direction, here's my first tip... You work for a sort of IT consulting firm and I bet your not a day past 24 years old.
