Been working at McDonald's for two months now, should i quit?

Ive been an employee for a McDonald's Restaurant for about two months now, so far my hours have been little to nothing. My first week i had about 20 hours, then the second week 9, third and fourth week 0, fifth 9 and sixth 3, and seventh 9 and next week only three again. So my question is do i have good reason to quit, i am 18 years old and soon to be nineteen and have been training in a secondary school during high school for the second year now. The course ive been taking is Electrical/HVAC. I have also done remodeling work with much better pay and a 40 hour work week that ended on good terms, the only reason i left was that i had school and were i was working was 2 and a 1/2 hours away from where i live and go to school. Would i be better off quiting this job because of lack of hours of course, and try to obtain a job more relevant to my future career plans such as a hardware store like Lowe's or ace with better pay, till i get out of high school and collage or just live with the lack of hours and stay where im at. I also thought i'd include that from what ive been told and seen close to 40+ people work where i work and the McDonald's is located in a small town, in other works we are probably very overstaffed. Also i have a car i need on the road to get back and forth from collage when fall comes around by the way.Been working at McDonald's for two months now, should i quit?
Go for the relevant job but secure it before quitting.

Did McDonald's tell you it would be only a few hrs per week ? If so, what hours were you expecting to be the least ?

Think of your future, maybe it's time to apply for something you really want to do regardless of travelling times.
