What are my career options for a double major with history and linguistics?

Hello, I'm currently attending a local community college and I just switched majors. At first, I was looking forward to Engineering to tackle my weakness with math but I realized that I can't seem to get it. One reason why I wanted to go for Engineering is because I wanted to become a naval officer but I consider that dream as "impossible".

Now, I'm changing it to majors that I really like which are subjects that includes foreign languages and history. I'm also interested in applying for Army OCS but I heard its competitive nowadays because of the economy. I don't think I can go for ROTC because the nearby community colleges does not have ROTC, and I lost access to my SAT scores that was in my collegeboard account during high school. I was wondering, what are my options as a career if I get rejected to Army OCS? Do I have to take a Masters degree? because I don't want to end up working in McDonalds like what my past teachers claimed. What are my career options for a double major with history and linguistics?
There are many options for you.

After finishing your studies you could work as a teacher. You could also work as a translator. Government agencies and some international companies prefer to hire employees who can speak more than 2 languages.

I know a few people who had successful careers as language instructors abroad. that could be an option for you as well specially if you enjoy traveling and exploring other cultures.
