I think he's toast. Is this the end of Michael Richards' entertainment career? And the beginning of his career at McDonald's?
OMG I was just about to ask about Michael Richards! I'm going to TiVo Letterman tonight and I encourage all Seinfeld fans and curious parties to do the same. Then, come back and more people can answer the question. Is this the end of Michael Richards' entertainment career? And the beginning of his career at McDonald's?
no way someone would hire him... and honestly i think whites took this more seriously then blacks! which is pretty sad
I am sorry. I must of missed something. What did Michael Richard's do? I live in Australia and I have heard nothing about him.Is this the end of Michael Richards' entertainment career? And the beginning of his career at McDonald's?
COnsidering that he isn't a HUGE star... I would assume yes, unless something huge happens in the world... than he will be quickly forgotten about and he can make a comeback in 2 years.
Hopefully, he made a mistake, but did'nt kill anyone or burn down a house. Everybody deserves a second chance I hope if I make a bonehead error in the future I am not thrown out to pasture. Is this the end of Michael Richards' entertainment career? And the beginning of his career at McDonald's?
He's a racist pig and I'm really surprised that he made those comments. I never would have expected it. I totally look at him different now!
Nah, he just continues...but more hecklers than ever.
G'day Bill W,
Thank you for your question.
It certainly doesn't help his career. I hope he earns plenty of residuals from Seinfeld because after this, his career is going to go into a nosedive. He has appeared on Letterman although apologising to "afro-Americans" isn't going to help his cause. He is blaming rage issues.
Regards
I really didn't see what the huge deal was. I mean, yeah he's an idiot for saying that.. but WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL? I hear tons of black people calling each other that. Did anyone make a big deal out of that black guy calling Richards a, "white *** cracker"? Now why isn't that a big deal? I just don't get how it's totally fine for black people to call each other that famous "N" word, AND call white people, "crackers" and "white boys". Can you imagine if it was the other way around? What if it was a black comedian being heckled, and the comedian starts calling the person in the audience a, "Cracker white boy". Then the person in the audience says back, "You N*GGER!" Just my opinion.
No / He Said He Was Sorry On Letterman Monday Night.
But This Will Hurt His Entertainment Career / Maybe
He apoligized. I, for one, forgive the man.
I just poped my question one week ago I asked why between black is ok to call them names like N.. word and when a white person called them with the N... word is more agressive and nobody gave me a good answer now happen this i do not understand the black people why is ok to be insulted sometimes and sometimes they got more sensitives.
It was a personal attack on the guys there . The black community should not care .
N i g g e r = African American slaves
Crackers = White men that used to whip the African American slaves.
Do you see the difference now?
Yeah, there's a HUGE difference.
Cracker doesn't exactly have years of slavery and oppression attached to it.
And... i don't think anyone could possibly look at Richards the same way again.
johnnybutt - a little thing called context. see i don't have to apply for a job or go into a store and walk out, worried that black people will call me a cracker or white boy. i know they'll respect me. but if i was black, i'd know lots of people were talking behind my back etc. i don't care if black people call each other the N word, that's a different context. they decided to take the word back for their own use. fine with me. i'm not racist and won't be calling black people that. but i'll call diddy or 50 cent morons all day long, it has nothing to do with the color of their skin!
i think it was funny why was that guy interrupting his act he just called him what he is
