How do I get a job at a graveyard?

I posted this in the careers section but no one ever goes there so I am coming here.

I am 16 and I would like a job at a graveyard. Catholic or otherwise. I would like to dig the graves or something like that or do any work they require me to do. Most people tell me to get a job at McDonalds or something because that would be 'perfect' for a teenager looking for some extra money. However I don't like dealing with many people. I really like the quiet, relaxing atmosphere at the graveyard. Plus my grandpa is buried in this graveyard so I would really like working there . How do I go about doing this?

I know this question has barely anything to do with religion. But just bear with me. Thank's.How do I get a job at a graveyard?
The church I used to go to took care of a cemetery, and were always looking for people to help. But, it was not a paid job. We had a man who had volunteered for many years, but, he got sick, and it was difficult to find others who actually wanted to help. But, the whole church would gather in the spring to do the annual clean-up, and I did this a few times.

Basically, you need to apply to the owners of the cemetery you are wanting to work at. Some are owned by municipal governments, and they would be looked after by municipal employees. So, they would take care of city parks, streets, and so on as well as a cemetery. Some are owned by churches, who may, or may not have much of a budget for paying workers. Most caretakers are volunteers. Others are owned privately, and you would need to speak directly to the owners.

Not all have offices, of course! Only really big ones. So, it will be a matter of finding out who owns them, and then finding the appropriate office in the organization. It will take a little digging... :)How do I get a job at a graveyard?
My cousin worked at a graveyard for years. He loved it. Especially taking the hearses to the car wash. So I asked. He found the job add in his local paper. So keep checking.

Becoming the sexton of a cemetery isn't always easy, but it can be done. First, if you have a specific cemetery in mind, find out who the current caretaker is. Meet that person, and express your desire. They may be able to use some extra help. Also, if you're going to actually dig the graves, it will be helpful to know how to operate a backhoe and other heavy equipment. There are entry-level jobs in cemeteries just as in any other profession. Start small. Ask if you can cut the grass, clean up the property or perform some other basic tasks. If you do well, you could possibly be entrusted with greater responsibilities. If the cemetery in question is owned by a funeral home (and some are), it would be good to talk with someone at the funeral home's corporate office. The same is true if the cemetery is owned by a church. Talk with someone in a position of authority at the church.
