I am from India. I have heard that obese patients can take Phentermine. Another thing a lot of people have told me about is Herbalife. Trust me, for the past 6 years all I have been doing is trying to be healthy and slim and it does not work. I don't eat fries and burgers. I have turned vegetarian. I dont go to McDonald's and Pizza Hut. I walk a minimum of 2 km everyday. And I am still obese :(
Now My weight is affecting my career, relationships. I am constantly suffering from low self esteem :(

Diet and cardio and some form of light weight training to keep you toned. Your diet should consist of dark leafy vegatables. Keep fruit to a minium even tho there good for they contain alot of simple sugars. Try swimming or running as cardio do 30 minutes to and 1 hour every other day. Swimming is the best cardio to do IMO. Keep your protein high with lean meats such as fish and chicken and of course keep fat, salt ,sugar, carbs and calories to all time low . What people fail to realize is exercising is only 20% of the work you have to do to reach your desired physique.

I am a personal trainer at Bally Total Fitness and also a Nutritonal Consultant. If you are like many of my indian clients you are having the same problem. Rice and lentils and other high starch foods are a staple of Indian cuisine. These foods are high in carbohydrates and if the body takes in more than it needs for energy it will convert they carbs into fat and be put into storage. Thus how someone gains body fat. There is nothing wrong with consuming carbs bu poriton control is very very important. For example a serving of rice is 1/4 cup uncooked yielding 1/2 cup cooked. I would be willing to bet that when you eat a meal you consume 3+ servings. Each meal you have should consist of one serving of carbs, one serving of protein and one servings of colorful vegetables. Since you have become a vegetarian protein is even that much more important. Beans or tofu is a great way to take in a good amount of protein. But there is no quality protein substitute for animal proteins. I would strongly suggest you pick up a jug of soy protein and drinks 2-3 shakes a day as a snack or meal replacement. It is also important to eat 5-6 small meals a day consisting of 300-400 calories. Think of your metabolism as a furnace or fire. If you put too much fuel on it at once it will slow down the burning process. But if you keep putting small bits of fuel on it over time it will continue to burn hot. Now relate that to your metabolism, it works the same way. So start with breakfast and eat every 3 hours 300-400 calories throughout the day. Finally make sure you continue your walking every day which will also speed up metabolism. I would also recommend joining a local gym to get some light weight training in.
