Well, there aren't a lot of jobs in the fast Food Industry as there used to be.If people are having a hard time with unemployment, why don't they choose this instead of welfare?
Because in lots of places, even Mc Donalds and the likes aren't hiring thats how bad unemployment has gotten.
Not only that but if they did lose their jobs, they get unemployement which they paid into and it to many is more than they would make at McDonalds. If people are having a hard time with unemployment, why don't they choose this instead of welfare?
Probably because a shift manager at McDonalds makes about $9 hr which translates to $18k a year. Barely over the poverty line and probably won't cover most of their expenses after paying about $4,200 in taxes. If people are having a hard time with unemployment, why don't they choose this instead of welfare?
A lot of it probabaly comes down to pride.
