i am a college student thinking about becoming certified as a pharmacy techinician. I( dont want to make this my career. Taking these classes will not interfere with my college degree. I live in california and i was wondering how much would a certified technincian make hourly? I know its not a lot of money but 12 dollars an hour is way better than 8 at McDonalds. I am a pharmacy tech and am making 12$ a hr. My brother is a pharmacy tech, and he's making 16$.
You usually start from 9~12$, and as you gain more experience, your pay raises.
*You get paid more in hospitals
I am also a college student, It definitely is better than any minimum wage job. Also, I plan to become a pharmacist so being a pt is a great stepping stone for me.

i say go for it...if it will not interfere with your college courses and it will not put any stress on...yes $12 is better than $8...good luck
