Why does my mom think I'm so stupid?

I'm not being conceited or anything, but I am not stupid. I'm going to a prestigious private high school next year (9th grade) and I went to a private middle school before. I got all straight A's before and I'm on the honor roll. My mom saw my report card and that I was on the honor roll. She talked to all of my teachers and they all said good things about me. Yet for some reason, my mom is still convinced that I am an idiot. She thinks that the only reason I got accepted into a private high school was out of pity, which is not true. She is convinced that I will fail high school, never go to college, and end up working at a fast food restaurant. She even threatened to make me drop out of high school and "get a head start on my career" of working at McDonalds since it is "impossible" for me to achieve academic success. Oh, and since I need to "improve my math skills" she signed me up for KUMON. Yes, Kumon, which by the way, has ruined my life. I'm on Level J, so I am supposed to be two years ahead of my grade level, and yet my mom still thinks I'm stupid.Why does my mom think I'm so stupid?

I'm so sorry. It must be terrible living under this much ridicule.

Please comfort yourself knowing that your achievements completely undermine what your mother thinks of you, and whether or not she ever changes her mind, you are an exceptional person. One does not get accepted into a prestigious private school on account of pity.
Your mother's a ******* ***** who probably hates you and doesn't want you to succeed because she didn't.

Are there other family members you can live with for a while? let her miss you for awhile and maybe she will realize who you really are because at this point she is dong nothing but bulling you and that can get dangerous. there are plenty of site online on bullling. look them up. write letters to some talk shows and see what they have to offer.

something about your mother is that your reminding her of her past and she doesnt really want your to fail. but if she doesnt stop she will loose you forever.
You're mom is extremely unfair and crude to be telling you these awful things! Maybe she's worried that you'll make someone else's mistakes and so she's throwing all this crap on your shoulders. It's not your fault, you seem like an extremely smart girl with a lot of insight, and please don't let your mom ruin that. Does your father know about any of this? If not, I think you should let him know, he might be able to help you out. I'm really sorry, and I hope things get better for you, just stay strong %26lt;3
