A low paying, low quality McJob is not a career. Unfortunately corporate greed, globalization, lobbyists, and "government in bed with big business" has pushed many jobs and high skill careers to foreign countries. The world is not "Made in China". These same companies, still however expect large American profits on the goods and services that they sell. It is only a matter of time before they see that as jobs disappear or become lower quality (with lower wages) people can't afford to pay sky-high American prices for their products. What goes around, comes around.Have we slid so far that we think a job at McDonald's is a career?
Without question, there are those who have made successful careers for themselves within the McDonald's organization. For younger folks, it probably shouldn't be seen as a place to spend the rest of their lives, but I wouldn't discourage a young person from getting a job there on the basis that it's somehow beneath them. Even McWork is work, and I never discourage honest work.Have we slid so far that we think a job at McDonald's is a career?
Career? Hardly. We are sliding more and more into Slavery. When College Graduates can only find a job behind the Counter of a Hamburger Place, that is a very telling Story.
So there are some Management Jobs in any Company but how many?
And when College Graduates Man those Jobs, where are lesser educated People finding employment?
No doubt the outsourcing of manufacturing is destroying our Country. And the same People who are getting richer are blaming so many among us of not working.
Yes we have.
According to some government disapproved uncensored jobless statistics, we are already five times higher (unemployment wise) than what was recorded during the great Depression of 1935.
Thus, within the next decade or two we will reach 50% unemployment, which will no doubt lead to a most devastating economic collapse, if it doesn't come sooner by this current lawless administration of criminals.
Some of my friends deliver pizzas for a career, others are still looking for anything.
filthy slave labor degrading jobs that no filthy stinking rich politician would ever apply for.Have we slid so far that we think a job at McDonald's is a career?
There are schoolgirls who think "WAG" is a career.
Think about this: There are 20 teams of 11 players in the Premiership. About half of them are foreigners, leaving just 110 Englishmen; of whom statistics suggest about 11 will be gay and another 11 won't be interested in getting married.
That means they're chasing 88 massively-oversubscribed men.
I blame Thatcher, for destroying our manufacturing industry.
Saying you work at McDonald's is hardly something to boast about, unless you're an executive.
Nonetheless, a job is a job. Many cannot afford to say no, especially with such a harsh financial climate.
(Call me a snob, but I would never work there.)Have we slid so far that we think a job at McDonald's is a career?
Well I wouldn't be proud of it but a job is a job..I had a friend who worked at Burger King because they had amazing health benefits!
It's not for me but they do have managers and assistant managers. So I guess it's possible.
But it is. My cousin started out there and is now a manager and is working his way up fast.
