Before i go on about saying stuff about myself, id really like you all too answer only if you have experience in any of the fields or were in position to hire. Just dont be a 9th grader who is starting to learn about careers and feel like you know everything. I have no job experience and i want to be a restaurant manager. I know it sounds ridiculous. But hear me out. I am extremely good at managing and tackling problems with 80% of the time with best solution. I have always been a captain of all sports team, and known by as a person who can bring the weaker of the teams to level where best like them, and in the end, believe me, most leave happy. I have amazing computer skills, research skills, and i can hold things my mind and make rational decisions. I am a first born son, from a stable family. What i want do is take an apprentice program with some restaurant manager with no pay for a month or two 4 hours daily. Then i can easily work there as a assistant manager. Hire me if only if you like me and my work. I know ill be liked if you have a need. Do you think this will work. If do apprenticeship for two months with no pay, would i get to be assistant manager. I am all about strategies, calmness, one man army, team holder, and strengthen up liars.
I live in nyc, im 19 years old boy and there are lot of jobs for manager in mcdonalds. How can i become a resturant manager?
What you need to do is get experience working in a restaurant first. Demonstrate that you can please customers and solve problems. Learn all you can about every aspect of the operation, not just your job. After some time, you can target an assistant manager position, then full manager. Unless you have relatives in the business, I don't envision there being an unpaid internship for this kind of job, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask.
You could also go to Community College or regular College and major in Hospitality - that would give you a leg up.
