I got a call from McDonald's and an email from Macy's telling me I have an interview next week. I applied for a team member for Mcdonald's and a selling associate at Macy's. I was wondering if I get hired by both (if things go well) which job should I take. Which one pays more? I'm a college student and I need some extra money, but I'm also looking for a long term job until my career sets off. So which opportunity should I take?Who pays more by the hour, Macy's or McDonald's?
Instead of asking about the money (since the pay won't be much of a discrepancy), ask yourself this basic question: Do I want to be around burgers and fries or perfume and dresses?Who pays more by the hour, Macy's or McDonald's?
If they are entry level jobs, they probably both pay the same amount which would be minimum wage. So I would also consider benefits at that point. Do you need flex hours, health insurance, etc? Is there a pretty good potential for a raise and/or promotion. How about relocation and corporate opportunities? You should take the job that is more beneficial to you at this point in time and that may also grow into something pretty exciting. You will have to make that decision on your own.
