i go to a private college prep based school. I started high school with a 2.7 GPA, bc i was so so lazy, but now i have a 3.7%26amp;plan on working harder and harder to get a 4.0. the average GPA at my school is a 3.1.i havent taken any honor or AP classes because i take so many classes that i wouldnt be able to thrive in AP or honor classes, but i plan on taking a few next year since senior year is not as busy as junior year.
i have played piano since i was 8 and have been competing since I was 10. i am in spanish club, yearbook, prom%26amp;homecoming commitee and i work as a hair stylist and costume designs for the school plays. i played softball and basketball in the past but had to stop because of health problems. i plan on joining more clubs next year.
i have 4 jobs-nanny, work for a cleaning service, McDonalds%26amp;Bob Evans.I am picking up a summer jobs at Starbucks and Aeropostale as well.maybe to hopefully drop McDonalds if i can afford it...i have picked my top four majors that i would like and found people with those careers that they said i could intern them, starting in the summer until i leave for college the following summer.
i volunteer as a softball coach for 8-9yr old local girls team. I have gone on a mission trip over seas%26amp; i do many around the United States(local and nationwide).I also volunteer at nursing homes and hospitals. I am very active with Relay for Life and other cancer related organizations. I also work at my local animal shelter a few times a month. My youth group also does many service events.
Im not going to list my awards because i cant name them off the top of my head and it would just be tedious...
so my question is....is there any chance i can get into a good college?. im freaking out because its so soon%26amp; i feel like everyone else is going to go to a good college but me...is there any way i could really get into a good college?.not Ivy league, but like, universitys, not community college.Could i get into college?
colleges are going to want your unweighted cumulative GPA from beginning of freshman year to end of junior year. Once they accept you it will then be on the contingency of your senior transcripts.
I don't see an ACT/SAT score. that will matter greatly too.
go to your library and start doing some research into colleges.Could i get into college?
You will get in somewhere, trust me. You're record is impressive. All I would suggest is to start taking AP and Honor classes. Universities like to see students challenging themselves everyday. Other than that, you should have no problem getting into University.
