I know that a bs in psychology requires a masters degree in order to have a career, but is passing the GRE that tough? whats, uh, the deal here? Its a big deal, cuz upon graduation you have to begin making them student loan payments you took out. So colleges offer all sorts of degrees and people merely choose either the easy route or whats most interesting ------ However, that does not mean that you will be able to put that interest into good use in a decent career. The tough, balls to the wall, sweat consuming programs of math, engineering, biology and chemistry seem to have a the better odds of finding a career, even though they may be less interesting and involve more grueling study skills. Is Psychology likely to be a wasted degree? Is it that difficult to get into graduate school? Why are they now flipping burgers? Is a Biology degree with a Chemistry minor a better choice? Why do most students who graduate with psychology degrees end up flipping burgers at McDonalds?
There are few job prospects with just a Bachelors in Psychology. Graduate school for Psychology is also extremely competitive. It is the 2nd most popular undergraduate degree thus there any many persons clamoring for places in grad school.
There are also limited job prospects for persons with degrees in Biology unless you go to grad school or a professional school- medicine, dentistry etc.Why do most students who graduate with psychology degrees end up flipping burgers at McDonalds?
Because all the corporations have, or are in the process of, moving all the good paying jobs overseas to slave labour countries so that their CEOs can be extremely rich at the expense of everyone else. This leaves the majority with no money to afford psychology graduates.
