WHY WOULD McDONALD'S ADVERTISE THAT IT OFFERS CAREER ADVANTMENT OPPORTUNITIES, NOT JUST PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT?WHY WOULD McDONALD'S ADVERTISE THAT IT OFFERS CAREER ADVANTMENT OPPORTUNITIES, NOT JUST PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT?
Thats because McDonald's strongly encourages promoting from within. Being a McDonald's manager myself this is totally true. Also, all of McDonald's Corporate board of directors, their VP of Opperations, and their CEO all actually started behind the counter as crew at McDonald's. Also, McDonald's is the only franchisable company that will not allow you to own a franchise without a minimum of 10 years McDonald's experience and you have to be of the age of 45 and you have to have been a GM and a field consultant for McDonald's for a period of time. So they are actually really good about promoting from within. i am actually 3 semesters from obtaining my BS degree in Managment and I have been told I can get hired at McDonald's corporate in Kansas City at a starting salary of $51,500. So they deffinatley do hire and promote from within.WHY WOULD McDONALD'S ADVERTISE THAT IT OFFERS CAREER ADVANTMENT OPPORTUNITIES, NOT JUST PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT?
While I've never worked for the company, and it may be surprising, McDonald's is pretty well-known for paying and training its managers quite well. From a personal opinion standpoint, if you can work and thrive in a high-stress environment like McDonald's, you're likely to be able to handle the pressure in nearly any other company's environment.
